Cardiac Monitor Technician Exam Information
The CMT Monitor Technician Certification
Exam involves two possible levels
to meet the demands
of the job requirements for monitor technicians. The exam is in stair-steps of
complexity, allowing
the potential examinee to take any part of the
certification exam they wish. The highest level of the
CMT-BC offered is CMT-BC Level II for those Certified Monitor Technicians who
can show proof
of current CPR certification.
CMT-C Level I:
Cardiac Monitoring Technician Certification Exam Includes The:

Identification of normal and
abnormal ECG rhythm patterns identified for the Level IA ECG-BC Exam
Assessment and documentation of ECG rhythm abnormalities
and proof of knowledge of

to notify appropriate healthcare professionals in a timely manner with
abnormalities.
Placement of ECG monitoring lead systems according to
facility's policy and procedures,
utilizing the following types of systems:
5 lead standard monitoring system
3 lead standard monitoring system
CMT-C Level II:
Elevated to Level II with proof of current CPR

who wish to be considered for CMT-C Level II, submit current proof of CPR
certification by email to

take your exam in order to be considered for this level.
