CVRN Level II - Subspecialty Cardiology Board Certification Exam

Developed for Adult & Pediatric Cardiovascular Nurses and Nurse Practitioners in CCU,
CVICU, & Interventional Lab.   The exam contains 100 questions (the prerequisite exam contains
204 questions for which you have 5 hours to answer).

CVRN Level II Exam Matrix:

2)  CVN 204 - Mechanical Ventilation 15%
3)  CVN 205 - CV Pharmacology (IV medications) 25%
4)  CVN 208 - Hemodynamic Monitoring 20%
5)  CCN 209 - Intra-Aortic Balloon Therapy 15%

Prerequisite: 
CVRN Level I Subspecialty Cardiology Board Certification.  Exam Candidates are eligible for this award if they pass the CVRN Level I Exam and also pass the CVRN Level II Exam. The two exams may be taken at the same time.   


CVRN Level II Exam Application Takes Only Three Easy Steps:
1.  Show proof of Current CVRN I Certification from the ABCM (unless you plan to take
     both levels at the same time)--(if you have already taken level I, provide your
     certification number and expiration date in the application below)

Turn Around Time: 
As soon as the ABCM receives your information, we will validate your application and locate your proctor.  This total process should not take more than 3 weeks from start to completion with your certificate in hand.
