ABCM's Mission Statement:
The American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine’s mission is to provide evidence-based Board Certification Opportunities for Cardiovascular professionals working in Medical, Nursing, and Technical arenas; and the necessary educational preparation to assist cardiovascular professionals in accomplishing their Board Certification goals.
To accomplish our mission, the ABCM has formed a liaison with the Marriott Heart Foundation, “Home of the American College of Cardiovascular Nurses, and the Society of Cardiac Monitoring,” to develop targeted Prep Courses in Cardiology for the benefit of those in need of Review Courses prior to sitting for their respective Cardiology Board Exams.
This means that the Board Certification Exams are offered at the end of each Course or Program offered by these three organizations, as well as at other regional locations.
In addition to the exams being available at all Courses and Programs, they are also available in most major cities by proctor, eliminating most of the need for travel. Email us to determine if there is already a proctor in your city. The exams are not computer based and therefore you will have a live proctor for various administrative reasons.
